About the role
This diverse, full or part-time position is responsible for managing key client work and contributing to the development of Oxygen Consulting’s client services.
You will be responsible for implementing and seeing through a range of technical activities with clients, including (but not limited to): environmental reporting/greenhouse gas emissions profiles, targets and reduction plans; greenhouse gas verification and assurance, climate disclosures; materiality assessments; sustainability strategy development; B Corp Certification; project management; communications and engagement; and planning.
In addition to these responsibilities, the role will also contribute to administration and development of Oxygen Consulting’s projects and activities, such as product development and research.

We work closely with business partners including B Lab Australia and New Zealand, NZTE, Carbon Market Solutions and Forever Forests. As our Sustainability Consultant, you will:
Have demonstrable experience and expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) measurement and reporting;
be passionate about business sustainability and motivated to develop and grow in this profession;
be a team player, collaborative and inclusive;
have excellent communication skills, able to read different audiences and build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders;
be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time;
be adaptable and flexible.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualification required;
Minimum 1-2 years previous sustainability consulting experience, or experience working in a sustainability professionals’ role;
Preference given to the following professional experience: GHG emissions measurement, GHG target setting, GHG reduction plans, GHG audit, climate disclosure;
Base knowledge (and preferably applied experience) of sustainability principles, practices, trends and frameworks (e.g. GRI, SBTi, GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1, ISO14064-3, TCFD, TNFD, NZ CS, AASB, IFRS S1 and S2, B Corp, SDGs, NZ sustainability policy/regulation) and a strong desire to learn and grow capability in these areas;
Ability to solve complex problems;
High level of proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office products;
The right to work in New Zealand.
